Jan Vaculik,
Baritone
In demand as a
singer, Jan Vaculik is an up-and-coming talent in the music
industry.
At the young age
of 25 Jan has became a member of Canadian Opera Company and
performed in the special production of Wagner’s ring cycle and
in the role of a chorus member.
His recent
engagements with COC include productions of The House of the
Dead and Tosca.
In the year 2001,
Jan performed in the North American premiere of the Croatian opera Nikola Subic Zrinjsky with Royal Opera Canada.
His other opera
credits include roles of Colline (La Boheme), Don Giovanni (Don
Giovanni), Sarastro (The Magic Flute), Figaro (The Marriage of
Figaro).
Jan has also been
regularly touring Germany with the Festival Ensemble Stuttgart
under the baton of world-renowned conductor Helmuth Rilling.
After finishing
his bachelor degree at the Glenn Gould School of Music, Jan is
continuing his vocal studies with Maestro
David Varjabed.
